在雅思写作过程中标点符号问题是经常被同学们忽视的，一方面由于中英文标点符号的书写和用法存在一定的差异，另一方面的问题在于很多考生习惯于在一段内将逗号一逗到底。这样不仅在不方面考官阅卷，也违反了语法规则。那么在写作过程中我们可以怎样合理使用逗号呢：
a. 状语放句时使用逗号
b. 多个词或词组并列时使用逗号
c. 非限定性定语从句时使用逗号
d. 插人语前后使用逗号
如果你不太理解这些生硬的表达，那么看看下面这几个典型的例子，相信你对逗号的正确使用方式就会一目了然：
错误表达 Schools usually provide students with various activities, therefore, they have chance todevelop their practical skills.
正确表达 Schools usually provide students with various activities. Therefore, they have chance todevelop their practical skills.
错误表达 You can't wait anymore. In other words, you should start at once.
正确表达 You can't wait anymore, in other words, you should start at once.
